140912 – Power Snatches, Burpee Box Jumps aka Barbell Tennis

Hey Fitness Friends,

Friday was a Team-WOD. We had two visitors from CrossFit Stuttgart, Carlos and Sonya (Americans). K partnered up with Sonya and had a really great time. I partnered up with Carlos, who is actually a chilhood friend from one of my college friends and fraternity brothers. It also seemed ment to be since Carlos and I were both wearing NorCal CrossFit Shirts. He kept pushing me throughout the WOD really well. It was funny, because at some point we were pretty much playing Barbell Tennis (we were doing Single Reps facing each other and pretty much bouncing the Barbell back and forth). Good Times, probably one of the best at our current box!

Workout of the Day:
20 minute AMRAP of
2 Power Snatches 50/30 kg
20 Burpee Box Jumps 60/40 cm
4 Power Snatches 50/30 kg
20 Burpee Box Jumps 60/40 cm
8 Power Snatches 50/30 kg
20 Burpee Box Jumps 60/40 cm
*This pattern of doubling reps on the Power Snatches continued for the 20 minutes.

Our Results:
K and Sonya did just the 20 kg bar, but they had a great time!. They completed 64 Snatches.
Carlos and I did the WOD Rx and finished the round of 64 Snatches. That added up to 126 Snatches.
